I've been living in the Roseville area since 1995. The number and variety of restaurants during that time has exploded. I love trying out new restaurants that offer unique and fresh food.

Old town Pizza had a booth at an event that my husband and I were attending last night. So we each got a slice of their delicious pepperoni pizza. I’ve been to their main restaurant before and it’s a nice place to go with the family and they also have a good Meeting room for business meetings or even small get-togethers. But we also heard last night that they’re expanding into a much larger building right across from the Roseville town Square that will be opening this summer. Very exciting! They have very good pizza and salad salads.

My husband, son, and I went to Bennett’s after church on Sunday for brunch. They have a really nice selection of both breakfast and lunch items so we were all able to pick something we enjoyed. I had their quiche, which is only available on the weekend brunch. My son chose a burger and my husband had some tacos that were phenomenal. Bennetts is such a nice restaurant and they have some very unique food offerings that are fun to try.

The public house is a very neat eatery on Main Street in Placerville. The ceiling tiles are really beautiful! It has two sides - one is the restaurant side and the other is the bar side. We opted to eat at the bar side because it was a very busy day since it was the day after Thanksgiving. The food came out quickly, and it was delicious. We started with their loaded wedges as an appetizer to share, and then my daughter and I shared a chicken apple sandwich and their solstice tacos. The tacos were a fall version that included butternut squash. Might sound strange, but it was really yummy. My husband had a hot pastrami sandwich that he inhaled, so must’ve been good too!

I found out about this new salon through Groupon and purchased their package for a haircut along with a wash, deep conditioning, blow dry, and style. You can tell the salon is still new and they’re still setting a few things up, but it was clean and when I called to ask about their hours, they told me they were open a little early and I was free to come in right then and that there would be no wait. Both the woman manning the front and the man who cut my hair were very nice, however, they did have very thick accents so were a little bit difficult to understand at times. We made do perfectly fine though by me showing them the Groupon so they knew what I had paid for and I showed a picture of what I wanted done with my hair. The service itself was done well and also done efficiently. I was in and out of the salon in about an hour with a nice looking haircut and my hair felt much softer and healthier. I also noticed that they do fades for guys so I plan to take my son back and give them a try cutting his hair.

Went out for lunch with my daughter‘s family and mother. I shared a beet salad along with a harvest bowl with my mom and my daughter and her husband both got burgers with their garlic fries. The restaurant is much larger than you think when you walk in since they have a whole back room and also a patio area. It’s a really nice restaurant with great service and delicious food and their seasonal menu always offers some great options

We stopped by after doing some Thanksgiving food shopping and took advantage of their $8 box meal. I got the single cheeseburger with tater tots and my son got the double cheeseburger for $10 with fries. In general, they’re a solid fast food style burger and fries. The fries and tots were both crispy and tasty. The burgers are a pretty standard fast food burger - nothing Fancy, but they get the job done. They do cook everything to order so you do have to be prepared for a little longer wait then you might have it some fast food restaurants.

My husband and son absolutely love Mexican food. We went here last week to celebrate a one year work anniversary for my husband. My husband and I shared an enchilada combo plate and my son had chimichangas. We enjoyed some churros for dessert. Carmelita‘s is what I would call and more authentic Mexican food. It’s nothing flashy or fancy, but just good old-fashioned style food.

This time we got a couple of bundtlets as a treat. I got a pumpkin bundtlet and my son got chocolate chocolate chip. Nothing Bundt cakes are my favorite cakes because the cakes are moist and full of flavor and the cream cheese frosting doesn’t overwhelm the cake. It’s just enough to add a touch of sweetness.

My son loves In N Out. He tends to order off the secret menu. Not like me who just orders a basic burger and fries. He got a triple triple which means 3 burger patties and three slices of cheese along with animal fries smothered in cheese and onions and a chocolate milkshake. Classic burger joint!

I ordered 2 Mediterranean chicken souvlaki bowls for delivery. The bowl is generously sized with flavored rice, crisp garbanzos, red onions, cucumber, tomatoes, and hummus. For fast food, it tastes fresh and healthier than many alternatives. The hummus was creamy and gave the bowl a nice Greek flavor when it was mixed in.
