I love to cook but only do so occasionally for myself. It's more fun to explore the many restaurants in this college town! I love to enjoy a restaurant meal with friends, but as a single woman, I usually do delivery, drive-through or pick-up. Many years in Sales and as an entrepreneur have taught me how valuable word of mouth can be to a business. That's why Local City Places was so attractive to me! Yelp is a household word, but watch out; Local City Places is taking over!

I love Chuy’s! There in several cities and it’s pretty much a Tex Mex standard. Tge decor is fun - hub caps hanging from the ceiling, the chips station is a the front end of an old car, it’s always crowded too! I ordered the Deluxe Chicken Enchiladas to go and it was delicious as always!

In the drive thru, I was greeted by a great guy who told me it was his birthday! It was fun to wish him a happy birthday and receive my freshly made order with a smile. I selected the #3 combo - Swiss Smash Burger with bacon, curly fries& drink. Enjoyed it sitting in their parking lot!

I’m not a fan of the seasoning they use because you don’t taste the flavor of the chicken; only the abundance of seasoning. This was my first visit, so I requested the Light Mild and it was still too much! I will say that the servings are large. I ordered the two piece tenders with fries.

Ordered online, food was ready for pick up within 6 minutes. Tasty BLT Sandwich, chocolate croissant & iced tea! This is a locally owned restaurant serving soups, sandwiches, pizzas, salad, & fresh bakery items. Everything I’ve had here is great! During Christmas season, they usually have an Angel Tree for the Salvation Army toys donations. I like that they are community involved!

Good burgers and fries! The drive through was full but moved very quickly. I ordered the burger combo with a chocolate shake instead of soft drink. All were very tasty. The burger had fresh tomato and lettuce on it; not wilted, but actually crispy lettuce! Fries were hot and crispy and the shake had a deep chocolate flavor that assured me it was freshly made; not from a pre-mix machine.

Food and service are always excellent here! Met friends for cocktails and dinner and we really enjoyed ourselves. Sidney was very attentive as our server and the food was delicious. We had The Artichoke Dip, Bruschetta, and the daily special - Stuffed Chicken Florentini YUM! The bread basket and butter served when you are seated was delicious, Bonanza Caberydid not disappoint!

Love their crispy chicken tenders! The sides servings are very generous and rolls are just like grandma’s! I ordered at the drive through and got chicken tenders, fried okra (YUM!) and one of those fantastic yeast rolls that everyone loves! They also have a choice of biscuit but I’ve never tried those. Good Southern comfort food!

I love Arby’s Roast Beef sandwich and fries and the Arby’s Sauce is really good! That’s what I ordered today with a Diet Coke and wasn’t disappointed. The fries are coated with a light batter Which makes them crispy and flavorful. Looks like they recently repaired some of the parking lot and drive-through, which was good to see.

I ordered the 3 finger meal with drink online and went inside to pick up, although they have a drive through. This is one of the smaller locations and it’s decorated with Texas A&M all the way! Chicken and fries were ok but not as good as other chicken restaurants here. I had to ask for a receipt; I guess that’s becoming a trend…?

McDonald’s is a standard in cities large and small. Restrooms are usually clean and the food is consistent. I was traveling and needed a quick stop, so grabbed an ice cream cone & used their WiFi for a bit. Vanilla cone was great soft ice cream and the WiFi was strong!
