BevMo! in Pasadena is great with a large selection of liquor, beverages, snacks, and other food items. The store is organized and the staff is very helpful. Anyone who is going to be putting on a party or celebration this is your go to store for all your alcohol needs.

I ordered a raspberry filled almond croissant that was flaky and tasty. They have a wide selection of baked goods, along with beverages. The store was clean and the help was good. If you are looking for a quiet and good bakery, Paris Baguette is a place to frequent. Bon Appetit!

Shakers in Pasadena is a long time diner that provides good food at a good price. I ordered the soup, salad, and half sandwich for around $15. I had chili, which was excellent, and a bacon, lettuce, avocado, and tomato sandwich. Everything was to my liking. The servers are attentive, with many having been there for a long time and know their customers. If you are looking for a casual dining spot with good food at a good price, go to Shakers.

Stacks on Route 66 (formerly Flappy Jack's), has a large menu for those with big appetites. The amount of food is crazy and the best part, it is good! I ordered a ham, swiss cheese, and mushroom omelette, along with hash browns and pancakes. The food was cooked to my liking and I had enough for two meals. The staff is friendly and responsive. If you are looking for a good breakfast this is the place.

I ordered a double-double animal style with grilled onions, raw onions, extra pickles, mustard, and chopped chilis and well done french fries. The sandwich and fries were excellent like always and the service was great. This location always has multiple attendants taking orders prior to paying which speeds up the drive-thru. This is a newer location across from Azusa Pacific University.

I ordered the Chicken Kebobs, which has some of the most tasty and tender chicken, cooked over mesquite charcoal with a smoky flavor. The garlic sauce adds to the flavor. Sahara is one of the best kept secrets for Mediterranean food in the San Gabriel Valley. What makes the experience even better are the friendly staff led by one of the owners Anna, who makes you feel you are family. Bon Appetit!

We visited Cole's French Dip, one of the oldest restaurants in Los Angeles, which claims to be the founder of the sandwich. I ordered the USDA Prime beef dip, which came with a spicy pickle, and also got spicy fries. The sandwich and fires were excellent. Cole's is a small, cozy restaurant with full bar, that is full of history and I recommend anyone going there who wants to see a part of old Los Angeles.

The Fisherman's Restaurant & Bar in San Clemente is a great casual restaurant right on the water, with outside seating that looks down over the beach and over the Pacific Ocean and the San Clemente Pier. The restaurants features a nice selection of fresh seafood, sandwiches and salads, with an Oyster Bar across the pier. I had the Fisherman's chowder, a tomato based soup with seafood, vegetables and spices. The complimentary sour doe bread comes out hot and it is addictive. If you are looking for a fun and relaxing spot with unparalleled views and good food, look no further.

Porto's Bakery & Cafe in West Covina is an amazing place, with amazing food. Their selection of pastries is incredible and every week I go there and typically get the almond croissant and a vanilla late. The almond croissant is large, flakey, and incredibly tasty. What makes this place so great, is not just the pastries, but the bright and open dining areas, t, and some of the nicest and most professional food counter attendants. If you are looking for some of the best baked goods in the Southland, head to one of Porto's six restaurants in greater Los Angeles.

Zinqué in Newport Beach is located inside the Lido Marina Village, with waterfront patio seating overlooking the harbor. The views are incredible with the many yachts anchored in front of restaurant row. The relaxing atmosphere was coupled with excellent food, as I had the steak and frites with chimichurri sauce. The steak was cooked to my liking, medium rare, and was tasty along with the crisp golden fries. I would recommend this restaurant if you are looking for a relaxing dinner with a great setting and good food.
