This is a convenient and yet out of the way neighborhood gathering spot. In additional to a small boutique grocery store, there is a complete deli and prepared food section. We ordered two custom made sandwiches: Tuna and a Veggie. The wild caught tuna was freshly prepared and delicious. We ate outside in a small seating area. There are two locations for Andy's and we like them both.

This is our fourth visit here and each time it is good in all ways. We had a glass or wine at the bar which was a good Italian Sangiovese and also the least expensive glass on the menu. Later we joined a friend at a table where we shared Pasta Bolognese and a Cacio e Pepe dish. As a side we each had an Arugula Salad which was perfect. We will definitely go back here. It's a great place to meet friends for dinner and/or drinks before a movie (the neighborhood Elmwood theatre showing independent films is around the corner).

Hot Italian

This has become a neighborhood favorite. We ordered two Pinsa's--a type of flat bread with delicious pizza like toppings. We also had a mixed green salad (Marcuzzi) with fresh fennel, carrots and green olives. The atmosphere is open and clean with friendly service. This was during the happy hour (3-6pm) with reduced prices. We will definitely go back. There are three locations: San Rafael, Berkeley and Sacramento.
