This spot was recommended by our son as we took him out for his birthday. And, I’m glad we went. I haven’t been to a Korean restaurant in a long time. The moment you walk in, you sense the vibe. This place gets packed on the weekends. Our server was friendly and very prompt. They had a few TVs going with K-Pop videos showing. We ordered some spicy pork, pineapple fried rice with shrimp, popcorn chicken and bulgogi fries. Everything was DELICIOUS! I especially loved the spicy pork and pineapple fried rice. The food came out really quick as well. I’m so glad he recommended this spot to go eat. The vibe may feel more for the younger crowd, but the food was what I will come back for.

We don’t often eat here, but when we are on this a side of town, we definitely take advantage. Like many other good pizza spots, you want to order ahead on the weekend. Venezia’s is our spot for New York style pizza. Although they have great specialty pizzas, we tend to keep it simple. We ordered pepperoni and added garlic this time versus our regular mushroom. And, of course, it was as good as ever. We ordered ahead, and it was about 40 minutes of a wait. We coordinated that into our errands run because we know it’s busy Friday night. The crust is not too thick and the combination of sauce, pepperoni and garlic just puts a smile on your face. It’s so good. I am looking to get their calzone next. But for NY style pizza, Venezia’s checks ALL the boxes.

I am am a huge pancake lover and heard about the giant pancakes here. So, after initially going here for the pancakes, I ended up getting their Santa Fe omelette instead lol. But I’m so glad I did because it really hit the spot. And, opted for the biscuit instead of a tortilla. Can I just tell you how fluffy and delicious their biscuits are. The omelette was really filling too. It too was fluffy and full of flavor. The chipotle sauce they had was really good too. And, you can’t go wrong with the potatoes. Taylor, our server was on it too. Everyone there was friendly and quick to get whatever you needed. Although I didn’t get their giant pancakes this time, I will definitely be going back. You should too if you’re looking for a breakfast spot.

We have played golf here before, but never ate at their restaurant. We met up with some friends to try it out. It’s a fun spot that has a very relaxing vibe. The service was great and it was beautiful outside, so we sat in the outside patio. We got there for lunch and started with a margarita and a michelada. My wife really liked the margarita and I really enjoyed the michelada. We ordered and shared some tacos. They were really good. The meat was tender and full of flavor. And, their salsa had just the right amount of heat. Overall, we really enjoyed not only the food and drinks, but the whole experience. From the decor to the view, we really enjoyed everything about this spot. Next time we golf there, we will definitely make time to at least have a drink after.

So, it’s funny to have a “Go-To” Mexican food place and then go to others lol. We thought we’d stop by and check it out since someone had mentioned it to us. And, the Quesatacos we had were REALLY good! So, I’m glad we decided to go. They have music going and it’s definitely a lively place. They have a really good salsa bar too, that includes grilled onions and jalapeño peppers! We chose birria and the tacos had some really good flavor. We also chose the consume with meat. SOOO good. Staff was friendly and they do a great job keeping the restaurant clean. We will definitely go back!

So, I recently did a review of where NOT to go for buffalo wings. I will now enlighten you on where you should go. We normally go here for our pizza. But, they also have really good wings! Not only are the wings good sized, but they have great flavor. Another thing that sets them aside is their dipping sauce. Whether it’s the blue cheese or the ranch, it’s always fresh. We always get an extra just because. I suggest ordering ahead if you’re looking to eat on a Friday or Saturday night. I’m sure it also applies anytime football is on lol. The service is always great and the staff is friendly. They have several locations, so hit them up if you’re wanting really good wings. You won’t regret it!

I never thought I would not want to finish buffalo wings. When we decided to get last minute wings, my wife found this spot. We hadn’t been there before, so we decided to give them a try. The pricing was really good. We ordered a pound for just under $10. It said it would be equal to about 9 wings. That was perfect to share. Well, once we opened the box, we were a bit shocked at how small the wings were. I’m talking real small. Picture a child-sized order of wings. Not the quantity, but the size. These were the smallest wings I’d ever seen. These are also the driest wings I’ve ever had. Just disappointing all the way around. Although, the flavor of the sauce was actually good. It’s too bad the rest of the wings weren’t. So, if you are craving wings, I DON’T recommend Wings Express. Could it have just been a fluke. I don’t know. I do know we won’t be back.

I actually saw this taco shop on the news a few months ago. I happen to be in the area so I thought I’d give it a try. It’s not a very big restaurant, but does have seating inside and outside. It’s a cute little spot. I asked the young lady at front what she would recommend for a burrito. I always like to ask people that work there what they would recommend. She recommended the green chili pork burrito, so that’s what I ordered. It was really good! And like most burritos, pretty big. I was only able to eat half of it, so my wife will be happy when she gets home lol. It was definitely flavorful and had beans in it as well. When I ordered it, she did let me know about the beans in case didn’t want beans in it, but I’m glad that they were. Gives it that little extra flavor. The burrito was a little on the pricey side, which I didn’t expect as I saw the menu on Google being $2 less. But I get it. I don’t see myself going to this place very often only because it’s far away. But, now that I’ve tried one of the items at least, look forward to the next time. If you’re by the Alma School and Broadway area in Mesa, hit them up..

When we are craving Chinese food, this is our spot. Tonight, we got the General Tao’s Chicken. Their lo mein is so good, but this serving is big enough to share, so we just got the rice. The lunch specials come with soup. This was dinner, so we added the hot and sour soup. It definitely hit the spot. When you’re in the mood for Chinese takeout, give King Chef a try. It won’t disappoint.

This is our new spot for Mexican food. I know I’ve driven past this place HUNDREDS of times. We decided to give it a try and MAN, am I glad we did. The moment you walk in, the smell of authentic Mexican food tells you it was a great decision to try this spot. We tried something different, Carne Asada Nachos. This was an immediate hit! The flavors are so on point. They have three different salsas. I love hot, but even I had to not put as much lol. It was fire! But still flavorful. The service was great! And the owner, Oscar, takes so much pride in delivering. If you’re looking for a great Mexican food restaurant, give El Grullo a try. You won’t regret it
