After more than 30 years in this city, this is still my all time favorite sushi spot! Technically…it is probably my favorite spot period! The sushi is the best I have had anywhere (and it’s my favorite food!). The service is on an entirely different level than anywhere else!! I simply love coming here! Kanpai!

My favorite brewpub in my own back yard! MatSu Brewery has great food and delicious beer. Burgers, tacos, nachos and more…really can’t go wrong. For my visit today, I didn’t have time for a full lunch, but I did have time to grab a fresh pint of Astro Phuzz (a hazy IPA). This has become one of my favorite beers. If you like beer and live in Palmer (or anywhere in Alaska!), you already know about this place. If you’re passing through…make sure you stop by. You also don’t have to even like beer to fully enjoy the food and vibe of this local brewery and pub.

I’m biased…but prove me wrong :-) I commute between Anchorage and Palmer once a week. This is a must stop for my coffee (latte) fix on the way in to work. I’m biased because Jitters was originally opened by one of my elementary school teachers (I’m definitely “mid-life” age now 🤣). Great atmosphere and a fun staff…that also knows how to make a latte! And if you’re in a hurry, they do have a drive through as well.
