I submit this review because I’ve been buying a pizza nearly every week from this same Domino’s store for about twenty years now. Somehow, Domino’s has kept in place a core group of employees who have consistently served up good pies. I’ve had one bad one in twenty years, and they replaced it immediately and without hesitation. So there you go—five stars for these guys.

The entertaining décor alone makes the atmosphere worth the visit at Hot Rods 50’s Diner. I had the seven-ounce “Classic” angus burger with fries and a Coke. My server, Brooke, was right on top of things - quick to take my order and most pleasant. I wish I had known they served malts, but that’s what I get for not bothering to look at the super-extensive menu. I guess I’ll have to go back sometime.

Tried something new this week from the extensive menu at Southland Books and Café. Had the “Darwin” BLT with egg (lots of egg) on toasted white and a “Louie” caramel iced coffee. Got it all to-go easy in, easy out - but I’m looking forward to exploring the bookstore (and more) sometime soon.

My second trip to Chapeline’s Street Tacos for the carne asada with the flour tortilla - but this time, for the whole family. Nine tacos "to go" with all the fixin’s, and everybody loved them. I’m guessing the next time the family wants "takeout", they’ll be asking for “those tacos you brought home last time.”

Great little drive-thru for coffee - easy in and easy out. Super convenient if you want a big box of coffee instead of juggling several cups in a drink tray. And the coffee is excellent; I always get the medium roast. This visit, I had the bacon, egg, and cheese on a croissant - can’t wait to try the BLT next time.

I decided this week to try Bella Roma Pizza in West Maryville instead of my usual franchise, because three of my family recommended it - and one of them lives four hours away now. I ordered a large pizza with a hand-tossed crust and my usual toppings. I had to order it for carryout, but it was ready and waiting when I walked in.

When I go to a Mexican restaurant I always get the Carne Asada - but it's always better at Los Amigos in Maryville. Over 35 years at the same location. Staff is always great - quick to bring your chips and drink. Always a great experience at Los Amigos in Maryville - right across from the Blount County Library.

Subs N Such is my go-to for deli sandwiches. I always have the regular hoagie on light bread and have never had a bad one—consistently a great hoagie every time. I especially like that you can get a baked potato with the combo. There's lots of room inside and plenty of parking, which they need at lunchtime. The staff is always great.

Midland Restaurant has been a go-to for homestyle cooking for decades. Nothing fancy - just good food and a comfortable atmosphere. On this visit, I had the Tuesday special: pork tenderloins with mashed potatoes, pinto beans with onions, and French bread. The waitress was on top of things every step of the way. Easy in, easy out, with plenty of parking ( located at the Midland Center ).

+1
Decided on an old favorite today - the Aroma Cafe. Had a small Cuban combo with the black beans. ( I can order a small and usually save half for later .) My favorites are the Cuban, the Steak sandwich and the Philly Cheese. Not a fancy place - very comfortable with great sandwiches ( and more ). Great service - easy in, easy out.
