My favorite brewpub in my own back yard! MatSu Brewery has great food and delicious beer. Burgers, tacos, nachos and more…really can’t go wrong. For my visit today, I didn’t have time for a full lunch, but I did have time to grab a fresh pint of Astro Phuzz (a hazy IPA). This has become one of my favorite beers. If you like beer and live in Palmer (or anywhere in Alaska!), you already know about this place. If you’re passing through…make sure you stop by. You also don’t have to even like beer to fully enjoy the food and vibe of this local brewery and pub.

When you have a favorite brewery (with one of my top two favorite Hazys!) in your own "back yard"...well, what can I say. I love the food, vibe, staff, and beer from the Matsu Brewery. Even though they are within walking distance of the house...I do keep an "emergency growler" in the truck at all times (an empty one that is!).
